Looking for Affordable LED Transformers for Kitchen Cabinets

Asked By XyZ7@123 On

I'm planning to install LED lights under my kitchen cabinets, and since each cabinet is separate, I need multiple LED transformers to power them. My cabinet maker quoted me $500 for each transformer, but I've seen cheaper options at Home Depot. I want something reliable that lasts a few years, but I don't want to overpay. Can anyone recommend where to find high-quality LED transformers at a decent price? Are there any specific brands or models that have worked well for you?

I've used the random ones from Home Depot, and they work fine as long as you don't overload them. You'll need to do a bit of math to figure out how many LEDs each transformer can handle, though.

You're definitely getting ripped off with that price! Any local lighting supply store can give you quality LED drivers at a much better rate. If you want something reliable, check out Mean Well drivers. You might have to order them from sites like Digikey or Mouser.

Are you talking about under cabinet lighting? I did my whole kitchen with addressable WLED strips and used Shelly controllers with a couple of smart outlets, all for around $500 total.
