Looking for Affordable Piano Buttons – Any Recommendations?

I'm working on a MIDI piano controller project with 25 keys, but I'm on a tight budget of $1 per button. I'm specifically looking for new buttons that have a similar feel to piano keys or keyboards. Also, just to clarify, I can't buy used buttons. If I can't find any suitable options, I'm curious about how I could potentially build my own piano keys since I have access to a 3D printer.

Have you considered using old toy pianos? They often have decent key feel and could fit your budget. If you need 2 octaves, just remember you'll probably have to make some compromises on quality or functionality.

You might want to check out some thrift stores for old electronic keyboards. Sometimes you can find small ones for cheap, and the keys could work for your project. Just a thought! Might not be pure $1 buttons but worth a look!

I’ve seen folks on YouTube convert old keyboards into MIDI controllers. It might be a bit of work, but it's a fun way to get quality keys without breaking the bank. Definitely check out those videos for inspiration!

That's a great idea! I'll have to give that a try. Thanks for the tip!
