I'm a hobbyist woodworker interested in getting a router lift for my dedicated router cabinet. I don't use it professionally and want to keep costs down, but I also want something that works well and is accurate. I've noticed some cheaper options on discount sites like Temu and I'm curious if anyone has tried those. Are they worth it? I'm also considering building my own lift, but with limited free time, I'm not sure if that's the best route to take.

I recommend checking out the Triton plunge router. It's basically a pro-level router lift on its own and gives you the added benefit of being a plunge router, too. It allows for easy height adjustments and even lets you change bits from the top, which is a big plus. You don't really need a separate plate, but having one can help with insert changes.

I'll check that out. Thanks!
