I'm on the hunt for an affordable, mostly ready-made solar power estimation system. Ideally, I want something that includes a 100w solar panel, a small battery, and a monitor that can continuously collect data and upload it to the cloud. My plan is to set this up for most of the year before I decide to invest in a full solar array. Does anyone have any recommendations?

You might want to check out PVGIS. It's a great tool for estimating solar power generation based on your location. Just keep in mind that it might not account for things like tree cover affecting your panels, especially since you mentioned you have moderate tree coverage in northern Wisconsin.

That's helpful, thanks! But I still feel unsure about relying solely on online tools since the trees could really impact things. I'm leaning towards doing my own backyard experiments.
