Hey folks! I recently tried out the TOPDON TC001 thermal camera to check the insulation of my house during winter, but I found it pretty disappointing as it didn't let me see clearly, so I sent it back. Now I'm on the hunt for a good yet affordable thermal camera. I've come across the BSIDE SH7 with a 320x320 resolution but I'm wondering if that's adequate or similar to what the TOPDON offered. I insulated my roof last year and really want to check how it's holding up. Renting a professional thermal camera costs around 200€ per day, which is quite steep. Any advice?

FLIR makes a cool device that attaches to smartphones, giving you thermal imaging capabilities without breaking the bank. It's worth looking into if you're okay with the idea of using your phone for this purpose.
You might want to consider using an IR temperature gun instead! It can quickly give you the temperature of specific spots, though it's not quite the same as having a full thermal image. You’d need to check each area manually, but if you're on a budget, it might work for basic checks.
If you're in the US, many local libraries actually lend out thermal cameras for free! It's worth checking your local library to see if they have that service. Just a heads up, I'm not sure if this is common outside the US.
