I'm on the hunt for a portable LED work light that's compatible with my 20V Dewalt system. I'm wondering if there are options out there that perform better or offer more functionality than the Dewalt DCL077B, which is priced around $100. I'm particularly interested in lights that have a strong built-in magnet and a clip for attaching to non-ferrous metal. It would also be great if the light could be mounted and easily rotated to any angle without fear of it falling over. Features like dimming options and different field of view modes would be aPlus. Does anyone have suggestions for a base unit work light that matches these criteria?

You might want to check out the DWST08062/DWST06060. While it might be a bit larger than what you're after, I find it super handy when I need light. It has a big hook on the back, plus tripod mounts, and the lights themselves can rotate and dim, which is really useful. If you're looking for something smaller, the DCL040 could be a good option too.
Have you considered the DCL044? It sounds like it fits what you've described pretty well. It doesn't have dimming, but it provides a great spot beam. Another option is the DCL050, which has a hook and two brightness modes—dimming and bright—but lacks a magnet or clip. It stands well and has an angle adjuster for more versatility.
I had no idea about the DCL044! It seems like it's exactly what the OP needs. I'll have to look into it further.
