Hey everyone, I've got to admit that I'm not the best when it comes to taking care of plants—let's just say I have a black thumb. I used to have a bunch of house plants, but right now, the only survivors are a half-dead yucca and a half-dead aloe vera. I'm eager to bring some new greenery into my home, but my budget is really tight. Any suggestions for plants that are easy to care for and won't break the bank?

Check out Facebook Marketplace for affordable starter plants; you might find some hidden gems. You can also ask friends for cuttings and grow them in water until they develop roots. Setting a weekly reminder on your phone to check on your plants can really help, too! Plus, consider making labels for each plant with their specific water and light requirements so it’s easy to keep track. Research beginner-friendly plants that thrive in your living space to make it even easier on yourself.
To start, it's good to figure out how you generally end up killing your plants. Do you forget to water them, or are you over-watering? Knowing this can really help you choose the right plants.

I definitely have a problem with not watering enough! But I just noticed that my yucca has a new little shoot coming up from the soil, which is a nice surprise!
