Looking for Budget-Friendly Table Saw Recommendations

Hi everyone! I've been building my tool collection for woodworking and realized that I should have started with a table saw instead of a mitre saw. I've faced too many situations where a table saw would have been essential, and now I'm eager to get one. My budget is around $300 to $400, and I'm just a hobbyist looking to enjoy some creative projects. I'm considering matching my Kobalt mitre saw with a Kobalt table saw, but I'm not completely satisfied with the mitre saw. I've heard good things about the Skil table saw and I'm open to other suggestions. Also, I'm planning to build a rolling cart for the table saw, so the stand isn't a big priority for me. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Honestly, if you can save a bit more, I'd go for a contractor saw instead of a jobsite one. The fence quality makes a huge difference. I opted for a Bosch jobsite saw and while it's decent, it has some quirks that can be annoying, like a finicky tilt mechanism. I've seen the Ridgid contractor saw on sale for around $400 recently, which is a steal and way better than a jobsite saw in the long run.

Absolutely! If you find a used contractor saw with a good fence, you'll be much happier in the long run. Jobsite saws can be a bit flimsy and you might regret not going for a contractor model.

I've been really happy with my Skil jobsite saw, which I got for under $300. It gets the job done for my hobby projects without breaking the bank.

If you're looking for a solid option under $350, I would definitely recommend the Skil TS6307. It's a really reliable saw for the price and handles a dado stack well, which is a big plus. The Dewalt 8.25 inch is also a good choice but for the best value, the Skil might be your best bet!

Totally agree! I love my Skil TS6307 and it's been a workhorse for all my projects.
