Looking for Climbing Plants for a Shady Wall

I have a northeast-facing wall that only gets a bit of morning sun. I'm hoping to grow something up it to enhance the appearance of my house. I prefer plants that are evergreen since I'm aware that flowers might be scarce due to the lack of sunlight, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I've heard suggestions for clematis with different flowering periods or honeysuckles, but I don't want anything that clings too aggressively, as I plan to install a frame to avoid damaging the brickwork. Any recommendations? Cheers!

I’d suggest a mix of variegated ivies since they thrive in the shade. Additionally, evergreen climbing hydrangea is another good option, although it grows slowly and prefers a sheltered area.

Absolutely second the climbing hydrangea — it's easy to manage and practically takes care of itself. Plus, the flowers look lovely!

Climbing hydrangea is an excellent choice! It's great in shady spots and produces beautiful flowers. Just a heads up, it does cling a bit as it grows, but unlike ivy, it won't damage your walls. You might want to provide a trellis for it to start climbing effectively.
