Looking for Closet System Quotes: Any Recommendations?

I'm in the process of upgrading my small walk-in closet in Berkeley, CA. Currently, it just has one shelf and one hanging bar, and I want a better system to organize my clothes. I recently got a quote of around $4,500 from California Closets, which I thought was quite steep. I also checked out Closets Worlds, but their pricing was similar and California's finish seemed superior. I considered IKEA's PAX system but found it wouldn't fit my space well. The Container Store's closet system felt a bit low quality for their prices. What other companies should I look into before making a final decision? I'll be sharing a few pictures of the design I'm aiming for as well!

Getting a quote from a local carpenter could be worthwhile. California Closets charges a premium for their designs, but a skilled carpenter might offer you something high-quality for less. Plus, they can customize it perfectly for your space!

Have you considered the Container Store’s Elfa system? It's pretty flexible and might fit your space well! You can check it out [here](https://www.containerstore.com/s/elfa/1).

If you're up for a DIY project and have some basic woodworking skills, you could build your own closet system. I followed a few YouTube tutorials and put together my own using plywood—it only cost me about $400! Just a thought if you're looking to save some cash!
