Hey everyone! I've recently jumped into the Dewalt ecosystem and now I'm on the hunt for a cordless angle grinder. I have a few key features I'm looking for: a side sliding switch, variable speed settings, and if possible, a FlexVolt Advantage capability since I already own a 9Ah FlexVolt battery for my circular saw. I've been sifting through options but with so many choices out there and Dewalt's website being a bit of a hassle, I'm a little lost. The only option I've found so far is the DCG 409VSN. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, why are you leaning towards a side switch instead of a paddle switch? I rarely use a grinder, but I feel like a paddle switch is safer overall. Would love to hear why you prefer the side switch!
If you're set on needing a slide switch and variable speed, the DCG409VS is definitely your best bet! They actually discontinued the FlexVolt Advantage feature, but this grinder is super powerful when paired with a FlexVolt battery or even the PowerStack. It's a solid choice for a 20V slide switch grinder!
Excellent, looks like that is the one for me. Thank you!
For what it’s worth, I would suggest looking at a proper FlexVolt grinder. These beasts have tons of power! You can really dig in with a grinding disc and it won’t slow down, no matter how hard you push. They handle tough jobs like champs!
Will look into it, thanks!

At my job, I use a Bosch with a side switch, and it’s super convenient since I can adjust my grip based on the task. For metal cutting, a paddle is fine, but for woodworking, I prefer holding it a bit differently.
