Hey everyone! As summer wraps up, I need to think about bringing my plants inside for winter. I've got a lot of them, and while I'm happy to share, I'm totally out of pots! I'd usually just put a sign out on the curb and watch them disappear, but this year I need some fresh ideas for pots—specifically something for 6", 8", and 10" plants. A friend suggested using margarine tubs for smaller plants, but I have mostly larger ones to give away. Any creative suggestions?

You might want to check out your local stores like Home Depot or Lowe's for larger pots. I've combined several smaller plants into one big pot before, which saves space. Also, don’t forget to ask at a nursery if they have any extra grow pots. I've scored quite a few black grow pots from them! Plus, you could use apps like Nextdoor to offer pots for free—I've had great luck selling plants there too.
Buying clear plastic nursery pots online can be a budget-friendly option! I recently got a pack of 30 for about $13, which included various sizes. They're great because you can see the roots. Also, if you're gifting small plants, those 3-4" pots fit nicely inside coffee mugs—thrift stores are perfect for finding cute mugs!
Have you tried calling garden centers? They often have spare nursery pots from customers returning outdoor plants. It's worth a shot! You could also look for local Facebook plant groups where gardeners might have extra pots to give away.
