Hey everyone! I'm trying to brainstorm ideas for my senior project at school. I would love any suggestions you might have, whether they're personal projects, gifts, or even something charitable. Any direction or inspiration would be super helpful! Thanks!

You could consider making something out of wood! There are some great options like furniture—bed frames and dressers can be really valuable for charity organizations. Think about getting in touch with local charities that help families in need. It’s a rewarding way to create something meaningful and give back! Or, if you want to keep it personal, maybe craft a cedar chest for storage that can grow with the family. Getting creative with your school's mascot could also add a fun twist!

That sounds like a solid idea! I love the thought of combining your school spirit with a useful project. It really gives your work a personal touch!

It would help to know more about what you have in mind. Are you going for a big project or something smaller? Also, what’s your timeframe? I heard you can take about a year for this, so you’ve got plenty of time to tackle something ambitious!

Yeah, I've got almost a year—about 4 hours a week for 40 weeks. So, I can definitely manage a larger project!

If furniture making intrigues you, check out the YouTube channel of a furniture maker named Chest'er. His videos are super inspirational and he breaks down the steps for things like chairs and ottomans really well. It's awesome to see how easy he makes it look, even with complex pieces!
