I'm seeking some good DIY manuals or guides for constructing a workbench—preferably detailed, step-by-step instructions similar to the old log cabin kits my Grandpa used to find. It's been tough to locate anything beyond the generic info on home improvement store websites. I want to build a wooden workbench with a pegboard background to mount on the wall in my basement, but I'm a complete beginner in woodworking and home improvement. I can follow instructions and know where to get the necessary materials, but I need clear, elaborate guidance. Additionally, I'd love to find similar resources for putting up a privacy fence. The info I find tends to be really quick and doesn't explain things in depth, which just confuses me more. Are there any DIY sites out there with comprehensive guides that are more than just quick overviews?

You might want to look into websites like Make Magazine and Instructables. They have a ton of projects with detailed instructions and material lists. You can usually find exactly what you're looking for!
Etsy has some great downloadable plans! Search for ones that specifically mention detailed instructions and material lists. I've gotten great plans for sheds from there that were super helpful and clear.
Check out Steve Ramsey’s Basic Mobile Workbench plans! They’re super detailed and easy to follow. Here’s a link to the PDF: [Basic Mobile Workbench](https://theweekendwoodworker.com/wp-content/uploads/Basic-Mobile-Workbench.pdf). It really breaks things down step by step. Perfect for beginners!
