I usually buy those cute 50¢ Halloween-themed plastic dishes from Walmart, but I've been noticing some white spots appearing on them recently. I'm not sure if it's just because they're low-cost, but I love how colorful and break-resistant they are since I tend to drop things a lot due to joint issues. I'm on the hunt for better quality plastic dishes that won't shatter when dropped. Any suggestions? Also, sorry if this post is out of place; I wasn't sure where else to ask!

Corelle is a solid choice! They're relatively affordable, look great, and stack well. Plus, they’re pretty hard to break, which is a bonus for anyone who tends to drop their dishes.
If you're looking for lightweight and durable options, definitely check out camping sections. You can find enamel-coated stainless steel dishes or robust plastic ones. Just keep in mind some might not be microwave-friendly, which could be an issue if you're mostly heating up soups!
Just a heads-up that many seasonal plastic dishes are made from melamine. They shouldn't go in the microwave and need to be on the top rack when using a dishwasher. I also use colorful bowls from Walmart, but I make sure they’re marked microwave-safe and BPA-free, as those features can be tricky to find. Trust me, it's better to have something that won't shatter due to gravity!

Good call! Most of what I'm eating lately is microwave soup, so I need microwave-safe options. Thanks for the tip!
