Looking for Easy Paint Options for Kitchen Cabinets

Hey everyone, I'm planning to redo my kitchen cabinets and I'm hoping to find a quality paint that adheres well with minimal prep work. Right now, the cabinets have stain and glossy polyurethane, and I've got a ton of other projects on my plate, so I'm looking for something that's a bit easier to work with. Any recommendations?

If you're looking for quick solutions, just know that redoing the cabinets can become more of a hassle than it's worth. You might want to check out some modern spray paints with different textures that you can find at places like Menards—they've really improved over the years!

Honestly, kitchen cabinets and minimal prep just don't mix well. The kitchen is a tough environment for cabinets due to their visibility and constant use. If you're really short on time, it might be worth considering hiring a professional who specializes in this type of work. It can be a pretty big project to handle on your own if you want it to look good.

Yeah, it's tough to get paint to stick on shiny surfaces like that. You're probably going to have to sand them down pretty well and might even need to remove the poly completely. Make sure to use a bonding primer and a durable enamel paint, doing at least two coats. If you want it to last, it's definitely worth the extra effort.
