Hey everyone! We're thinking of buying our first robot lawnmower and noticed Lidl has a budget-friendly model for lawns under 1000 m². Before we dive in, I'd love to hear about anyone's experiences with it. Is it straightforward to set up? Does it operate reliably, or does it tend to get stuck? How frequently does it need to be cleaned? Also, is getting a roof for the charging station a good idea? Any insights would be super helpful! 🙏

I got one from Lidl here in the UK about three weeks ago, and I’m pretty happy with it! Setting it up was a breeze; the trickiest part was getting the cables in place to mark the garden boundaries. I had to adjust and fix the cables a few times since the mower cut through them (my bad!). Once I’m satisfied with the layout, I plan to bury the cables and forget about them. I don't have a roof for the charging station since I bring it inside when not in use, but I definitely wouldn’t leave it out in the rain without some cover. It can get stuck occasionally, but adjusting the boundary cable usually does the trick. Also, I recommend keeping the cutting height above 40—going lower might make it struggle. Cleaning is pretty easy as long as you mow when the grass is dry!
Thanks for the insights! This really helps me decide!
