I always thought Leviton was the go-to brand for outlets and switches, but I've noticed that the newer GFCI outlets come with a green LED light that stays on. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good alternative that doesn't have this bright green light?

If you're willing to invest a bit more, rewiring your breaker box as GFCI will eliminate the outlet concerns altogether. Just keep in mind that there might be code requirements for the status lights, like green for okay and red for tripped — it's helpful to know when something's off!
Using a GFCI breaker is definitely an option, but make sure to consider a few things first, like local codes which might require a GFCI/AFCI combo. Also, if you have a setup with multiple circuits, the GFCI breaker won't work properly. Just a few details to keep in mind before making the switch!
You might want to consider using a GFCI breaker for that entire circuit instead of just replacing the outlets. It could save you from the LED indicator problem completely!
Can you explain a bit more about the GFCI breaker? Is it a specific product I should look for?

I've been okay with mechanical trip indicators so far. Not sure why they think a lighted indicator is necessary.
