Hey everyone! I recently bought a house and I'm dealing with a 200-foot gravel driveway. Being from the south, I know these types of driveways can be tricky. Thankfully, we've got fresh gravel, but I'm looking for some tips on how to maintain it and make it visually appealing. I was thinking about adding railroad posts along the sides to prevent the stones from spreading into the yard and to boost curb appeal. Also, I heard about using some kind of resin mixture to keep the gravel bound together and avoid mud holes. Has anyone tried that, or do you have other ideas on what works best for gravel driveways? I'd really appreciate your advice!

One solid tip is to make sure your driveway has good drainage! If you haven’t done it yet, you might want to consider grading it and possibly adding geotextile and geogrid underneath before topping it with new rocks. It could extend the life of your driveway for decades! Just be cautious because if the gravel's already laid, you may need to adjust what you have.

Yeah, moving gravel can be a hassle! If you’re stuck with what you have, just focus on maintenance like keeping it leveled and free of leaves.
