I'm living with friends and their kids, and my bedroom door opens inwards, right behind my desk. There's a noticeable gap where you can see my monitors and me working. Although I'm not watching anything inappropriate, I still feel uncomfortable being watched while I'm just trying to focus or even do simple tasks. My nieces think it's funny to peek through the crack, which I've asked them to stop, but it hasn't worked. I'm considering options like an adhesive privacy screen or a simple room divider, but I'm worried the adhesive might not stick well. I'm also open to using something like ribbon to cover the gap. Any creative suggestions?

If there’s a gap, it might help to install door stops around the edges to close it off more securely. A picture could really help figure out what’s going on, though!
You might want to try putting some frosted tape over that gap. It can add a nice touch of privacy without too much hassle!
That's not a bad idea, thanks!

Sorry, wasn’t home when I made the post. Here’s a pic of the gap: https://i.imgur.com/mjOMiCW.jpeg. It’s just the standard gap from the hinges.
