Looking for Ideas to Mount Packout Feet on a Metal Ammo Can

Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out the best way to mount Packout feet on the side of a metal ammo can. I need the feet to be positioned so there's enough clearance for the lid to open properly. Any ideas or suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks a lot!

You might want to consider using some kind of shims to space the feet away from the can. That way, they'll clear the lid when you open it. It's a pretty straightforward solution!

Just to clarify, are you using a .50 Cal can for your 9mm ammo? Typically, 9mm is stored in those larger cans. I've actually made holders for .30 Cal cans before. SARCO sells some brackets and locking hardware that might work for you. If keeping the contents safe is a priority, think about those options instead of just screwing the feet directly on. They also have plastic ammo cans if you want a lighter option!

Thanks for the info! I appreciate the links, but I'm really just focused on using metal cans and Packout feet, so if you have specific tips for that setup, I'd love to hear them!
