Hi folks! I've been on the hunt for a non-toxic wood preservative to use for my planter boxes. Recently, I found this powder from Tall Earth that you mix with water, but I'm a bit hesitant. Has anyone tried it, or do you have any other recommendations for safe preservatives? Thanks!

That product seems a bit sketchy to me... There's no info about what's actually in it. If you're growing food, I'd recommend just going for rot-resistant wood instead.
Check out this link I found regarding non-toxic sealers for planters: [Non-toxic Sealers](https://www.mychemicalfreehouse.net/2021/09/non-toxic-sealers-for-raised-garden-beds-planters.html). It's really useful!
If you're looking for more advice, it might help to ask in a woodworking forum.
You could also char the wood! I charred the inside of my planters, but I'm still debating whether to do the outside too. Not sure how it will look.
Have you considered using linseed oil? It's a popular natural option for protecting wood without harmful chemicals.
Have you tried Walrus Oil? It's food grade and made for cutting boards. It's a legit product, not a joke!
