I'm helping my dad find a new pressure washer, and we're looking to step up from the typical domestic Karcher models. We're after something that's semi-industrial – not so powerful that it can strip paint off a car, but definitely more robust than your average option you'd find at Argos or B&Q. We mainly want to tackle jobs like cleaning sandstone paving (especially getting rid of the black spot since the Azpects EASYCare we tried isn't cutting it), washing wheelie bins, and giving the car a good scrub. Any suggestions for what we should check out?

If you're dealing with algae on the paving, consider using some hypochlorite. Just make sure to follow the instructions and wear gloves; it can be quite useful!
Another solid choice could be STIHL or a high-end Karcher like the K7. If it’s mainly for paving and light use, a mid-range Karcher might still be plenty, though. K7 does have some serious specs with a max of 180 bar! But I get wanting to try something different; Karchers can be a bit temperamental sometimes.
I'd recommend checking out Nilfisk. My parents have a mid-range model, and it's noticeably better than a Karcher. The Nilfisk Core 140 looks pretty good and isn’t too pricey for the pressure it offers!
Thanks for the recommendation! I’m looking into the Nilfisk Core 140 right now.

Definitely! The K7 sounds powerful, but we’re hoping to avoid overkill. Just tired of Karchers failing on us!
