I'm planning to install a new range hood and could really use some recommendations. I have a hard time distinguishing between different brands and would love to know which ones are considered 'pretty good'. Here's what I'm looking for: it needs to be ducted to the outside, have a CFM rating between 800-1100, include lights, and fit snugly under a cabinet. This will be my first installation, so any advice would be fantastic. Thanks in advance!

One tip is to consider getting a range hood that allows you to buy a replacement exhaust blower motor separately. This way, you can store it nearby for future use. Trust me, in a few years when your current blower is all gunked up, you’ll be grateful to have a backup ready to go!
Definitely check the manufacturer's website or contact customer service for the model. They usually have info on replacement parts!

That's a solid idea! How can I figure out if a motor is available for the hood? Should I avoid big box stores for this?
