Hey everyone! I'm trying to find a solid 3/8 impact wrench that can fill the gap between my 1/4 driver and my 1/2 high torque tool. I'm considering the M18 compact impact wrench, but I'm also leaning towards the M12 stubby because it offers about double the torque and it's more compact. I'd love to hear about your experiences with these options or any other great alternatives you might recommend!

I'd definitely recommend the new M12 stubby! Even the first generation is still pretty powerful, so I can only imagine how much better the latest version is.
I primarily use the M18 brushed model, but I also have the brushless stubby as a backup. The brushed one is a real workhorse and has great battery life. It’s more controllable with the trigger, which I appreciate. The M12 stubby is handy for tight spaces, but doesn’t last as long on a charge. If you pair your 3/8" impact with a good wobble extension set, it can replace a lot of tools for various jobs.
No doubt about it, go with the Gen 2 M12 stubby. It's just fantastic for all sorts of tasks.
