Hey everyone! I'm trying to find a decent mitre saw, but I'm located in the UK, which limits my choices a bit. I'm fairly new to woodworking and building my own workshop, so I'm hoping to stick to a budget between £90 and £120. The only must-have is that the saw needs to be on a track. Any advice or recommendations would be super helpful! I've spotted a couple of options I think might be good and included links below. Also, I get a 20% discount if I shop at B&Q!
Here are the saws I've found:
1. Titan: https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttb794msw-210mm-electric-single-bevel-sliding-mitre-saw-240v/881kp
2. DIY: https://www.diy.com/departments/1500w-220-240v-210mm-corded-sliding-mitre-saw-mmis210s-b/5036581089849_BQ.prd?storeId=1192

Take a look at this Evolution saw: https://www.diy.com/departments/evolution-1500w-240v-210mm-corded-sliding-mitre-saw-r210sms/0849713072184_BQ.prd. I haven't used it myself, but Evolution tools tend to be a bit more specialized than brands like Titan or MacAllister, which are more like basic DIY brands.
I have a Makita 10” corded saw that I really love. It was around £230, but it cuts wood, metal, and PVC really well. From my experience, it’s worth investing a little more for a saw that cuts accurately and easily. Consider looking into a Festool if you can stretch your budget.
I’m pretty sure the Festool is far out of my budget, and they rarely even sell those here in the UK. I’ll take a look at that Makita though.
Your budget is a bit tight, but I'd suggest checking out Bosch saws. They're known for their quality and may have options in your range, especially if you look at second-hand markets. Just keep an eye out!
Oh okay. I’ll go check them out, thank you!

Ah okay. I didn’t choose the evolution because of the smaller cutting range, but I’ll take another look. If it’s going to be better, I could sacrifice a bit of cutting space.
