Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a new table saw since my old Skilsaw finally gave up on me. I'm not a total newbie but not quite an expert either, just tackling homeowner woodworking tasks like cutting plywood into smaller pieces. I've been eyeing some options from big box stores but most reviews seem to agree that all saws are great—which we know isn't always the case. I am especially considering jobsite saws since I cut on my covered patio during the nicer months and need something I can store away in winter. However, some of the economical models like Craftsman seem less sturdy with their spindly legs, while others like Dewalt are quite expensive. A cast iron base saw is what I'd prefer, but I lack the space for a full workshop. What table saws have worked well for you?

If you're looking at jobsite saws, the Dewalt with the built-in stand is a solid choice—it's a tried-and-true design. I've seen them hold up well over the years, even after heavy use, but just be careful with a dado stack for long periods. I currently use a Skilsaw with a worm drive; it has a bit more capacity and has worked well for me so far!
I have the Dewalt too and I’m really happy with it. It’s got plenty of power and the accuracy is spot on. If your budget allows, I'd suggest investing in a SawStop—safety is crucial, and I've heard horror stories about accidents with table saws. If you can be patient and wait for a good deal, consider a lightly used contractor saw; they can be great finds!
I really like the Delta 36-725T2; you can get it new at Lowe's for about $700. It won't be as portable as some jobsite saws, but it's definitely an upgrade in performance. Personally, I can't stand contractor saws, but I’d also consider a used Craftsman for around $300 if you can find one. They last a long time!
Funny you mention old Craftsman. My circular saw from 27 years ago is still my go-to—even if it's a bit tricky with the settings.

Totally agree! If you've got a budget, safety should definitely be a priority. My friend works as an EMT and has seen too many injuries from saws.
