Hey everyone! My DeWalt 7485 finally gave up on me, and while I'm not sad to see it go (it had its share of issues), I'm on the hunt for a better table saw. I don't need anything super huge like a cabinet saw since I usually move my saw back and forth to the driveway for projects. I'm thinking a 10" blade would be great, but I'm not sure what other features I should look for. I've heard some good things about the Skil 10" with built-in legs, but I'm not convinced it's an improvement worth considering. Any advice?

You might also consider a cabinet saw with a good base; they can be just as mobile if properly set up. After refurbishing my '46 Unisaw, I can't imagine going back to a contractor saw. Building a base isn't difficult either—just grab some good casters! I used Bora kits myself, which made the process easy and they work great on any surface, though I know moving it around on different grounds can be tricky!
Have you thought about a SawStop? It does come with a higher price tag, but think about it: it's still cheaper than a trip to the ER!
I recommend checking out the SkilSaw 10" worm drive table saw. It's super portable, really powerful, and it can accommodate a dado stack as well. Definitely a solid option for your needs!
Yeah, it really depends on what kind of surface you’re rolling it on. I’m planning to move my contractor saw off its portable carts and into a nice rolling cabinet when I get the chance. My garage floor and driveway aren't the easiest to work with, though!
