Looking for Recommendations on Battery Framing Nailers

Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a battery-powered framing nailer and hoping to snag a good deal this Memorial Day or Father's Day. I've been reading mixed reviews about Dewalt battery nailers; some people aren't impressed with them. I came across the brand Metabo, which I'm not familiar with, and their nailers are priced between $200 and $300. If you have experience with any battery nailers, I would love your advice on which brands are reliable. Also, if there are any battery nailers compatible with Dewalt batteries through an adapter, that would be great to know! Additionally, I'm curious about whether battery-powered pancake compressors are effective for running pneumatic nail guns. Any thoughts?

I’ve had good luck with Metabo nailers, though I mostly use their pneumatic ones. They used to be Hitachi, and their quality is solid. For battery options, the Ryobi and Milwaukee lines seem to pop up frequently for both DIY projects and professional use. Just keep in mind that Dewalt nailers tend to be a bit bulky in design. If you're leaning towards a battery compressor, keep in mind they could eat through batteries more quickly. Good luck!

I've been eyeing the Ryobi Airstrike nailers after seeing some glowing reviews on YouTube. They're budget-friendly and reportedly work well with Dewalt battery adapters you can find online. Plus, they come with some cool features for jam clearing, which might make them worth checking out, especially with a good return policy in place. What do you think?

It really depends on your needs! If you’re doing DIY projects, Ryobi is usually a solid choice; I’ve heard they work well with Dewalt batteries. However, if you’re thinking of going pro, Milwaukee might be the way to go. For compressors, I don’t have firsthand experience with battery-powered ones but my friend uses a small 2-gallon pneumatic compressor and it works for her smaller projects, albeit she has to wait for it to recharge occasionally.
