Hey everyone! I'm new to the Milwaukee M18 platform and have been gradually upgrading my tools. I need to cut down a couple of doors now that I've had new carpet installed, and I'm looking for suggestions on a circular saw and the right blades to go with it. I appreciate any advice you can give me! Thanks!

A track saw is a great option for this task, though if you're in a hurry, a belt sander will do the trick, just a bit slower!
If you’re planning on doing more projects in the future, you should definitely consider investing in a track saw. They’re versatile and make precise cuts, which can save you a lot of hassle down the road.
I think I mixed up the track saw with something else, oops! 😄
You really don’t need a track saw just for a few cuts! Just use a piece of scrap wood as a fence, and you’ll be all set. You’ll find tons of helpful videos on YouTube too.
I suggest going for a track saw if you want precision. You can also use it as a regular circular saw. It’s a longer-term investment but totally worth it for the ease it brings to your projects.
I’m keeping an eye out for the 2833-20 model to go on sale. Freud makes great blades that fit this saw, and remember, more teeth on the blade equals a finer finish. For cutting down doors, try using a straight board as a guide for your cuts. Also, start by making a shallow cut to prevent splintering before going deeper!
Yeah, I have the 2833-20 and love it! I'm using the HO 3.0 battery, and it's powerful!

Haha, I love the name! But seriously, you'll love a track saw once you get used to it.
