Looking for Recommendations on Natural Wood Furniture in Philadelphia

Hey everyone! I'm currently on the hunt for a good bed, dresser, and other furniture pieces made from all-natural wood—no MDF or plywood for me, thank you! I'm particularly interested in walnut, oak, cherry, or similar woods. My style leans a bit towards mid-century modern, so I'm hoping to find something that fits that vibe. I've checked out places like Pompasouac, Vermont Wood Studios, and Amish Lancaster, but they feel a bit too rustic or wood cabin for my taste. I'm also open to working with a local independent carpenter. Any suggestions for companies, woodshops, or independent makers in the area? Thanks a bunch!

Just so you know, commissioned furniture can get pricey, so it’s good to have a budget in mind from the get-go! That way, you won't be blindsided later.

Thanks for the heads-up! I have a good idea of the budget, so I'm all set there.

You might want to check out Philadelphia Woodworks in Manayunk. They might have some leads on people who can build custom furniture that fits your style.
