Looking for Recommendations on Shop Vacuums for Woodworking

Hey everyone! I'm fed up with inhaling sawdust and really need a solid shop vacuum. I primarily plan to use it with my small router table and table saw, but I'm also open to connecting it to other tools if that's possible. I'm located in Ireland, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I’m not sure about Ireland specifically, but in the US, Rigid makes some solid shop vacs that are reasonably priced and come with a lifetime warranty. It might be worth looking into whether that warranty translates overseas.

If you need something portable, consider the Milwaukee 18V Packout vacuum. It’s versatile and has a bunch of accessories available now. If you have tools from Makita, look for an AWS-compatible vacuum, so you don’t have to turn it on and off manually. For stationary use, the Karcher wet & dry vacs in the 200-400 EUR range are reliable and versatile for home projects. I’d also suggest getting a remote trigger for easy operation!

Karcher seems to be a top contender for me right now. Thanks for the input!

If you can manage to spend a bit extra, Festool vacuums are incredible. They’re perfect for maintaining a clean workflow, especially with tools like a router or table saw. I used budget vacs for years before switching to a Festool CT Midi, and it’s been a game changer. Sure, it's pricey, but you get what you pay for. I also like Fein vacs, just make sure to go for a HEPA filter. For general cleanup, I have a DeWalt 16-gallon model that works great, though it is quite loud. Pairing it with a separator is a good move since its bag capacity isn’t enough for the tank size. The Milwaukee vacs look interesting too, especially with their customization options.

The DeWalt stealth model you mentioned is surprisingly quiet for a vac of that capacity! Great to hear you’re happy with it!

I checked out Festool, but they’re a bit out of my budget right now. The Fein models seem to be more affordable. I’m leaning towards Karcher or Trend because I’ve had good experiences with them and the pricing is better.
