I recently bought a house and it's been dealing with a lot of water issues lately. My current sump pump is overworked, so I want to upgrade it before it breaks down. I'm looking for a reliable submersible sump pump that includes a battery backup and also has Wi-Fi capabilities. I've heard good things about Zoeller and Wayne but I'm not sure which model is the best in terms of durability. Any suggestions?

Another option is to install a secondary sump pump just a bit higher than the first. That's what I've done! If the first one fails, the second one kicks in when the water level rises a bit more.
If your municipality allows it, think about a water-powered sump pump as a backup—it's a solid backup plan!
Are you using well water or is it serviced by city water? Knowing that might help narrow down the choices for a sump pump.
Check out the Zoeller 508! A friend of mine had serious water problems too, and after getting this installed, it worked wonders for him. Also, consider getting a generator for emergencies since the battery backup won't hold power for long. You definitely don’t want a flooded basement during outages!
True! My battery backup only lasted around 17 minutes during a storm.

I did something similar too. I have both a submersible and a pedestal pump as a backup, plus a battery backup system with two marine batteries!
