Hey everyone! I just bought a new home and I'm eager to install a water filtration system soon. Recently, I had a salesperson from Paramount Water LLC come by to pitch their product, but I want to do my homework and explore my options before making a decision. I'm particularly interested in what systems are the best and what people recommend. Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend the big-name brands. A much better bet is to get a local plumber to install a Rheem water softener along with a solid whole house filter. They tend to perform well and can save you some cash in the long run!
What kind of budget should I expect for a whole house softener and filter setup? Is there a typical price range?
Before you decide on a system, it helps to know what you're aiming to filter out. If you're looking to tackle issues like chlorine, sediments, hard water, and metals, that's a good starting point. Just ensure your system covers all those needs!

Thanks for the tips! I appreciate the reminder to focus on what needs filtering.
