I'm currently working on a DIY installation of a grid-tied solar system using EG4 equipment in San Mateo County. However, I need a licensed electrician to handle the wiring and take care of the PG&E and city permitting requirements. Does anyone have a trusted recommendation for someone who can help out? I would really appreciate it!

I think it'd be worth considering contacting Solar Engineering. They've been doing great work, and they even have a YouTube channel where you can see their projects in action. Might be worth a look!
Honestly, if you're just looking at rooftop installations, a skilled roofer might be your best bet. They usually know the electrical side pretty well, and it could save you some trouble down the line with the setup.
You might want to check out DayOne Solar based in Santa Cruz. I had a great experience with Tony and his team; they did a fantastic job on our setup years back. If they aren't able to come out that far, they could likely recommend someone who can help you in San Mateo.

That's a solid tip! I've seen some jobs where roofers did the wiring, and it turned out just fine. Less hassle for sure.
