Looking for Removable Fence Panel Ideas

Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out how to make a fence panel that can be easily removed. I've got a few ideas, but I'm not sure which one will be best. My first thought was to use 2x4 joist hangers, but that seems risky since they're attached to the outside of the posts and rely on other pickets for strength. The second idea I have is to use carriage bolts through the fence posts and rails, which is stronger but not very quick to remove. My last idea is to add a 2x4 to the current rails so it aligns better with the posts, then use joist hangers again. I'm trying to strike a balance between stability and ease of removal. The reason I need this is that I have a lawn tractor that won't fit through the current gate, and I use it a couple of times a year for aerating my lawn. Any suggestions would be super helpful!

Hey! Have you thought about using a French cleat system? It's pretty neat because it allows for easy removal with a secure hold. You mount one strip on the fence and the other on the panel, which lets you lift it off when you need to. Just make sure it’s well-secured for stability!

You know, simple screws might be your best bet. Use screws with washers so the heads don’t sink too deep as time goes on. When you need to pull the panel out, it should be as easy as removing 4 or 6 screws. Just keep some extra screws handy for maintenance!

Honestly, if it's right next to your gate, why not just swap the gate out for a wider one? You could get a larger gate that fits your needs and eliminate the need for a removable panel altogether! Just a thought!
