Hey everyone! I'm trying to replace some siding on my chimney, and it looks like I'm dealing with 1/2" x 12" Engineered Wood siding. I found a picture showing the thickness here: https://imgur.com/a/Lg0UFEx. However, I've checked both Lowes and Home Depot and can only find options for 3/8" and 1". Does anyone have suggestions on where I might be able to order or find 1/2" siding? Thanks a lot!

LP SmartSide has a series with 3/8" and 7/16" options, known as 38 and 76. For your project, you'd probably want the LP 76 series. It seems like it might be swollen, but in case it isn’t, here’s a Home Depot link to the 4x8 sheets you might need: https://www.homedepot.com/p/LP-SmartSide-SmartSide-76-Series-Cedar-Texture-Panel-8-in-OC-Engineered-Treated-Wood-Siding-Application-As-4-ft-x-8-ft-810721800000000/202298256.
You should check if that siding isn’t actually swollen 3/8" instead. Sometimes the layers can expand a bit, making it look thicker than it is. Just a thought!
That's an interesting idea! I hadn't considered that it could be swollen. You might be onto something!

Good point! I'm starting to wonder if it could be the 7/16". I need the boards to be 12" wide, so I'll keep an eye out for that. Appreciate your help!
