Has anyone installed solar panels at their home in the Dallas area recently? I'm curious about where you bought your equipment—did you do it yourself or hire a professional installer? Also, what credits and rebates are available?

I used Signature Solar as well to match solar panels with my backup systems. They were really helpful and answered all my questions, even over Thanksgiving! They got everything shipped really quickly—definitely recommend them. Also, make sure to check with your utility for any possible credits, as I missed out on a utility rebate myself!
For my system, I got panels and an inverter from Signature as well last December. However, I also heard good things about Beene Brothers in Mansfield and Greentech Renewables in Arlington. I had to hire someone for the roof work while I handled the inverter wiring—it's grid-tied, so it was straightforward after that. Just be aware of deadlines for the federal tax credit, as I rushed and missed some utility offers due to it!
I got my solar equipment from a dealer called Signature Solar, located in Sulphur Springs, just east of Dallas. They have been pretty good, although they are growing and their tech support might take a little while. I can definitely recommend them, though! I’m not sure about specific installers, but they might help you find one.
If you want transparent pricing, Signature Solar is a solid choice. I opted for professional installation since my roof is two stories and quite steep—definitely didn’t want to tackle that myself! Just a heads up, you can still take advantage of the federal tax credit and some utility providers also offer rebates, especially if you have battery storage.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check them out!
