Installing a water butt can be quite the adventure! Just a heads up, it's easy to get obsessed with checking the water levels. At first, it's just practical, but then you might find yourself ordering more butts because you can never have too much water storage!
I initially had one, but it wasn't enough and I ended up switching to an IBC tank instead. It’s great to have the extra capacity! Just make sure to set it high enough. I had to tweak mine because it was too low for my watering cans, which was super frustrating.
Good tip! I didn't think about the height before cutting the downpipe. I hope my pipe doesn't end up sloped!
