Hey everyone! I'm thinking about installing a reverse osmosis (RO) system under my sink. My fridge water just isn't cutting it in terms of taste, and I'm tired of constantly buying bottled water. I have some handy skills when it comes to installations, but I'd love to hear any advice or recommendations on what features to look for in a good RO system. Thanks in advance!

When my RO membrane gives out, I'm definitely going for one with an electric boost pump. My water pressure's a bit low, and having that pump will help with efficiency, even if it uses some electricity. Just something to think about for your setup!
If you want to skip drilling into your pipes, check out dishwasher/reverse osmosis adapters. They're super handy and make it easy to uninstall the system if you're renting and plan to take it with you when you move. Here's a link to one I found that works well!
Awesome tip, HandyDude! Thanks for sharing! ?
I installed two RO systems recently, one in the kitchen and another upstairs. Pay attention to the filtering quality and the waste-water ratio. It's crucial! Also, the delivery rate matters. I went with the Waterdrop X12 for high flow in the kitchen and the X8 upstairs. The toughest part was drilling through granite, but I found this video that made it easier to handle. Once you start using these systems, you might never want to drink anything else!

But drilling into the tailpipe can't be that expensive, right? Maybe $10 or something?
