Hey everyone! Has anyone tried using static cling window film (the kind that sticks directly to the glass) to minimize heat loss in their homes? I'm curious if you've had good experiences with any brands you might suggest. I know these films are mostly marketed for blocking heat out and providing privacy, but I remember seeing some reviews last year suggesting they can help retain heat as well. I'm already aware of storm window covers but would love to explore different options. Thanks in advance!

I've found that bubble wrap works pretty well for reducing heat loss since it creates a thermal break. Just spray the window with a bit of water and stick on the bubble wrap. It's super affordable and effective!
We've always used window kits that go over the trim and stick with tape. You can heat them with a hair dryer for a tight fit, and 3M makes some excellent options. Here’s a link to their insulation kit—check it out! https://www.amazon.com/s?k=3m+window+insulation+kit . They work great, even in RVs where the temperature can fluctuate a lot. If you combine them with reflective UV window film, the difference is incredible!

I've used this method too! It really helps, especially in RVs since they can get so hot or cold. Combining it with reflective film makes a huge difference.
