I recently put in some motion-sensing lights under my kitchen cabinets and really enjoy them, but the downside is that they only stay on for 30 seconds, a minute, or 3 minutes at a time. I was hoping to find a product that allows me to keep the motion sensor feature while also having the option to switch them on permanently. Do such lights exist, or is it typically a trade-off between motion detection and an on/off switch?

You might want to check out the Philips Hue with a sensor; they let you toggle between motion sensing and manual control. Just keep in mind that they can be a bit pricey. But they offer both options in a pretty neat package!
I’ve actually wired a setup with two switches: one is a sensor switch and the other is a regular switch, which means you can use both features without compromise. The sensor switch always stays active, so you won't lose that functionality. It's a bit more work, though, if you're looking for a quick solution!
I appreciate the idea! I was really hoping for something more plug-and-play, though. It’s hard to find the time to set up something like that right now; I’ve got a roof that needs fixing!

Thanks for the tip! I did try the Hue light strip, but it just didn’t provide enough brightness for what I need. I love the vibe, but I could use more light for safety while chopping!
