I'm planning to upgrade the audio system in my 5000 sq ft family house. There's already a setup with a Yamaha amp and Bose speakers in the main rooms, but I'm looking to expand by adding speakers to smaller rooms and changing the amp to better suit my needs. I think I'll need around 8-10 zones, including some outdoor spaces. I'll only need new speakers for the additional areas, estimated at about 2500 sq ft. I want the system to be controlled via an app, allowing me to play different music in various zones simultaneously. It should also support music streaming from phones using Wi-Fi and from a home media server I'm currently setting up. I'm aiming to keep the budget under $10,000 and I'm open to secondhand options, as long as they're good quality. Any recommendations for amps and speakers?

Consider checking out Sonos for your setup. I've heard great things about it from others who’ve installed it in large homes. It offers really good multi-zone support and great quality sound. Best of luck with your project!

We have six Sonos devices, and they've worked flawlessly for us. Highly recommend!
