I'm feeling a bit adventurous and want to bring some life into my apartment with a plant, but I'm totally clueless about which ones are easy to care for. The only one I know about is the Peace Lily, mostly because I saw it in the movie Hot Fuzz! Is it a good choice for someone like me, who has no experience? Does it require constant light? I'm open to other plant suggestions too, but just to be clear, I really don't want any cacti around me.

Honestly, Peace Lilies can be a bit tricky for beginners since they need a lot of water. I’d recommend looking into Snake Plants or Bella Palms. They’re much easier to take care of!
Peace Lilies are actually decent for beginners as long as you give them bright light and water them when the top layer of soil dries out. If you want alternatives, consider Cast Iron Plants; they’re super hardy, though they ain't as fancy with flowers. Other easy-going plants include Spider Plants, Pothos, or even a ZZ Plant. Just remember to keep an eye on how much light they get, especially if you're placing them near a window! If you're adventurous, try Air Plants too; they don't even need soil!

I’ve kept several of those and can vouch for how easy they are. Great recommendations!
