Yeah, whoever designed that bedroom setup really mixed things up! Totally agree, that layout seems oddly designed. But with a little reconfiguration, I think you could make it more functional and enjoyable!
I noticed you might have some load-bearing walls (the ones marked 'A' & 'B'). One idea could be to add a new doorway from the front bedroom to the main area since the current door just leads to a closet. It might also help to close off the laundry room doorway, making a new access point through the bathroom. This could help improve the flow without too much expense!

Why not add a hallway by the exterior door? You could turn the current living room into a bedroom and make the bedroom next to the kitchen a living room. It would definitely change the vibe!
Honestly, that layout is a bit of a puzzle! One thought is to drop the wall between the kitchen and living room to make it feel more spacious. Also, changing the front bedroom door to open from the kitchen could work well. Maybe consider splitting the laundry room to add a pantry too!
