Looking to Spice Up My Garden With Unique Edibles!

Hey fellow gardeners! I'm from Zone 6b in New England, and I'm looking to mix things up a bit this year. I usually grow the basics like tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and cucumbers. While I'm not bored with my usual picks, I'm hoping to add some exciting options for a bit of a 'Wow!' factor in my garden. I'm planning to try maypop along my chain fence for a tropical touch, but I'm also curious about growing pawpaw. Space is a concern, though, as I'm not sure I can fit in trees. What are some unusual edibles you guys grow and would recommend?

You should definitely consider adding berries! Blueberries, strawberries, and elderberries are all great choices – blueberries are shrubby, so they won't take up too much space. You might really enjoy them!

I actually have blueberries and strawberries! This year, I'm thinking of putting raspberries and blackberries in pots instead, just to avoid the overwhelming spread they had last time. But now that I think of it, I kinda miss the chaos they brought. Also, I'm curious about trying mulberry if I find the room!
