Lost Warranty Tool After Return Shipping: What Are My Options?

Asked By CraftyNinja42 On

I'm having a tough time with my warranty tool return. After UPS failed to collect it on two scheduled dates, my tool finally reached CJ Sinclair. They quickly repaired it, but then UPS dropped the ball again. The tool was picked up but got stuck due to a sortation issue and hasn't moved since. I'm wondering if anyone else has faced similar problems and what my chances are of getting a replacement if I don't see any updates in two weeks. I rely heavily on this cut-off tool, and right now, I'm stuck using a cheap knockoff that just isn't cutting it—literally!

I’ve had a similar experience with lost tools in the mail, but honestly, it doesn’t happen often. Milwaukee tends to handle these situations well, but they might not always know what's happening unless you follow up. Just be patient but proactive after your two weeks is up.

Have you reached out to Milwaukee's support team? If UPS mishandled the package, they should be the ones to start a claim, especially if they handled the shipping label. It’s worth checking in with them to see what can be done.

Milwaukee usually offers a quick turnaround of about 7-10 days once they receive your tool. Give it some time in transit both ways. After two weeks, it might be a good idea to call the service center directly and see where your tool is at. If things still don’t get resolved, keep track of everything and you can reach out to Mackenzie from their team here on Reddit. Just have your Reddit username, service ticket number, a brief summary of what happened, and any tracking info ready. I’ve heard a lot of people have had good luck getting issues sorted out through her.
