Hey everyone! I'm at a bit of a crossroads here and could use some advice. My job gives out a gift for every five years of service, and since I've hit the 25-year mark, I get to choose from a list of options. The two I'm considering are the Milwaukee 48-22-9487 tool set and the Yeti Tundra 35 cooler. Now, I don't actually need either one and my wife has her eye on a Dooney & Bourke, but I feel like I should pick something that I'll enjoy. There are other options too, like a smart toaster, a deep freeze, a Goal Zero power station, or some Bose earbuds, but those don't excite me as much. What do you all think? Should I just go with the tools since that's what I'm leaning toward, or should I prioritize getting something for my wife?

I think it's a bit wild that the gift amount is only $275 for 25 years! I get it’s a token, but still! Why not ask your wife if she’d be okay with you picking a set of tools, too? She might surprise you with how supportive she is about your interests!
Honestly, I think you should get the Milwaukee set. It sounds like you're more excited about that, and since it's free, why not? Plus, you can always buy something for your wife later if she wants something, or maybe even treat her to something special that isn't on the list! Happy wife, happy life, right? Just make sure you get what you want too!
Totally agree! It's such a good philosophy. Just surprise her with something personal, and she'll appreciate it even more!
If you're torn, I'd say go for the Yeti cooler. They’re top-notch and great for outdoor activities. But given you've already got a cooler, the Milwaukee tools could be the way to go since they’re something you can continually use at home or for projects. Why not just see if your wife might change her mind about the gift? If not, treat yourself!
Yeah, the Yeti is solid, but sometimes you just can't beat some high-quality tools that you can have for years to come.

Right? You’ve been there for 25 years; they could at least throw in a better gift! Y'all deserve more for that dedication!
