I have about a hundred plants (which seems like a lot for my small apartment), and I'm wondering what the best way to move them is. Should I just pack them all into boxes? I might have to make two or three trips just for the plants. I've saved some short, flat boxes for the smaller ones, and luckily, we're only moving about 20 minutes away.

I've moved a lot of plants before, and they definitely take up a ton of space. I usually put them in topless boxes and use packing paper around the pots to keep them from tipping. With that many plants, you might end up making several trips since it's hard to stack them efficiently.
Haha, that sounds like a plan! They really need their own special treatment.
Packing plants is like real-life Tetris! I find taller boxes work better because they create a barrier and prevent messes. You can stuff paper towels or other items in gaps to keep them stable. How many trips you'll need really depends on your packing skills and car space, but since you're moving close, it's not too stressful. You could also ask friends or family if they can help transport some boxes to cut down on trips!
This actually helps a lot, thanks for your creative ideas!

I was thinking of coming back for the plants after getting the bigger boxes emptied. My big spider plant can just ride shotgun! ?
