I found mushrooms growing in the same pot as my succulent. Are they a danger to the plant, or is this a sign I should repot it?
Mushrooms popped up in my succulent pot. Should I worry?

The mushrooms themselves usually aren’t the main concern. They can show up where there’s organic material and enough moisture for a while, so check whether the potting mix is drying out between waterings. Succulents are more at risk if the roots stay damp and start to rot.

I wouldn’t rush to repot just because mushrooms appeared. Remove them if you want, then check that the pot drains freely and the mix isn’t staying wet. If it remains damp for a long time, or the succulent looks soft or unhealthy, changing to a faster-draining mix makes more sense.

Fungal growth can also come along with organic additions to potting mix, so one flush doesn’t prove the plant is being overwatered. Still, mushrooms aren’t a reason to keep the soil moist. Let the mix dry thoroughly between waterings, and don’t eat unknown mushrooms.
